Lewis Fein: "I pay Promptly" REALLY?????

Lewis finally has given me some instructions. He asked me to create an Excel spreadsheet and indicate
1.       the daily outreach,;
2.       reports of all people contacted each day;
3.       blog names, contact information, etc.;
4.       and he needed this info daily.
It wasn’t that hard, was it? The only thing that Lewis forgot, that it was all time consuming. You know copy/paste also takes some time. And besides, not every blog contains the contact details of a blogger. So in this case, I spent a lot of time searching for emails and copy/pasting data in the Excel spreadsheet.

Lewis Fein also said: “I pay promptly” – well it all turned out to be a big big lie. So people please do not trust this character.

Lewis Fein: contradicting and misleading orders

Lewis said he needed bloggers to write about his client asap. Instead of giving the detailed assignment, he could not figure out what he needed precisely and gave me contradicting orders via Skype.

Q: do you have a detailed written assignment? what platforms are you interested in ? Countries?

A: US. Please go to their site. you need to really understand everything they do so you can properly and successful get bloggers to write about them.

Ok I go to their website and find nothing difficult to understand: a simple site for people who love playing games and getting benefits from it.

Lewis said it is a big project, but not difficult. He said he’ll give me some guidelines, but I have not received much info about the assignment. Since I have never had any experience working in PR I found this work rather challenging [and Lewis was aware of this], esp since Mr. Fein did not help me much. I asked him many many times to give me the detailed assignment, but ah well, it never really happened. Probably, this is how Mr.  Fein does his business.

It was still unclear why I needed to get 100% familiar with the client’s web site, since I was just sending out templates to bloggers and asked them to write about this web site.

But I still logged in to the GoSave and spent some time there playing around…

My first encounter with Mr Sketchy aka Lewis Fein

World of freelance is full of unpredictable things and unexpected outcomes.

I was introduced to Lewis Fein a PR specialist from LA in May. A friend of mine recommended me to him as a reliable person who could do some freelancing for him. The job that he wanted me to do did not seem difficult: I needed to write mommy-bloggers in the US and advertise a web site called GoSave.com.

GoSave is basically a fun site that people may use in their free time to play some random games and get some points for doing so, these points can be exchanged on gift certificates later on.

Well it all did not seem difficult: I needed to write personal messages to bloggers asking them to write a post about this web site and needed to fill in the Excel spreadsheet about the work I've done.

So I was fairly excited about the new experience and the new job, the pay seemed ok for a part-time position. And besides, Lewis said it was a not a difficult job at all. I was encouraged and really loved the fact that I could work whenever I wanted- in the morning or afternoons - it did not matter. I just needed the work to be done.

So I started working on it ...
